Alisa Sickora Kleckner

Alisa is a theatre artist who has designed costumes, puppets and masks throughout the Northeast. As an adjunct faculty and resident designer at Arcadia University, Alisa teaches courses in costume design and construction, puppet theatre and stage make-up as well as running the university’s costume shop. Favorite designs include Visit to a Small Planet, The Rocky Horror Show, Love of the Nightingale and Three Sisters (Arcadia University), CAW, The Pillow of Kantan and Electra (Muhlenberg College) as well as designing and building Kid Simple (Azuka Theatre). She has worked regionally with Act II Playhouse, Azuka Theatre, Brat Productions and the Walnut Street Theatre. Alisa has been honored as a Faculty Design Fellow from the American College Theatre Festival at the Kennedy Center, and received a national commendation for her costume designs. She is a founding member of Little Bunny Voodoo, an adult oriented puppet company whose namesake character she carved in a master class offered in Prague, Czech Republic. LBV will be presenting at Philly Fringe 2009 the first of its series Fractured Scary Tales: The Black Cat based on a Poe horror classic.
