Patricia Bartlett

Patricia Bartlett (Maria Clemm) received her Bachelor of Music from the North Carolina School of the Performing Arts, her Masters in Music from Manhattan School of Music, and has studied opera at the Juilliard School. She has performed with the Banff Center for Performing Arts in Canada and sung the role of Pamina in The Magic Flute with the Brevard Summer Festival. She was a 1986 semi-finalist in the Pavarotti International Voice Competition. Recent performances include Sally in Follies, Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, Lettice in Lettice and Lovage, Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd and Lady Tiang in The King and I. She has been nominated for an AVY Award (now known as the Perry Award) for her lead role in Sugar Babies at the Franklin Villagers Theater. Patricia has performed as Joanne in Godspell at The Lamb's Theater in New York City, toured the US Virgin Islands with Godspell, and did a season of summer stock at the Thomas Playhouse in Maine. In New York she alwo performed with many opera companies, singing a number of operatic roles including Norina in Don Paquale, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Mimi in La Boheme and Cio-Cio in Madama Butterfly. She has taught voice at the Mercer County High School of Performing Arts and currently teaches at Arts Youniversity in Hamilton, NJ, as well as privately. Ms. Bartlett works for Young Audiences, presenting the assembly program OperaWorks to children throughout the state.
