  • Patricia Bartlett
    Maria Clemm

    Patricia Bartlett (Maria Clemm) received her Bachelor of Music from the North Carolina School of the Performing Arts, her Masters in Music from Manhattan School of Music, and has studied opera at the Juilliard School. She has performed with the Banff Center for Performing Arts in Canada and sung the role of Pamina in The Magic Flute with the Brevard Summer Festival. She was a 1986 semi-finalist in the Pavarotti International Voice Competition.

  • Casey Cloonan
    Child Morella

    Casey Cloonan (Child Morella) is a twelve year old native of Honey Brook, PA. She has performed for three years with the local theater group, The Vagabond Acting Troupe. Performances include Charm School Witch (Millicent), Thumbelina (Thumbelina), The Wizard of Oz (Lion), and Beauty and the Beast Jr. (Lumiere). Casey has also recently performed with The Centre Theater as “Babette” in Beauty and the Beast Jr.

  • Jess Conda
    Berenice

    Jess Conda (Berenice) is thrilled to be a part of Haunted Poe! She has been working with BRAT since 2003 and has held roles as an intern, actor, stage manager, house manager, and casting associate. She was most recently seen onstage with BRAT as Mary in A 24 Hour The Bald Soprano, which will be remounted in January 2010. In 2006, Jess played Babydoll opposite Madi Distefano in the Live Arts hit, Eye 95 Re-tarred. Other BRAT acting credits: Grease and Desist, Moby Dick-- Rehearsed.

  • Amanda Damron
    Lobby Wench

    Amanda Damron (Lobby Wench) is thrilled to be working with Brat again on Haunted Poe! Previous Brat credits include Grease and Desist, Eye-95 Re-Tarred, and Barrymore Award-winning Three Chord Fiction. Amanda appears in Purr, Pull Reign with Johnny Showcase and the Lefty Lucy Cabaret in this year's Philly Fringe Festival. She is also the singer of the band GANG (www.myspace.com/xgangx).   • Dallas Drummond
    Edgar Allan Poe

    Dallas (Poe #2) is very pleased to be working with Brat again, after appearing previously in User 927. He was most recently seen in Hamlet at the Lantern Theater and has worked with many local companies. Thanks to Madi, Michael, and everyone at Brat for creating this new, exciting, and intense theatrical experience. Poe stories are so beautiful and haunting, it's amazing to get to see them brought to life. Thanks, and enjoy.

  • Laura Edoff
    Black Cat Wife

    Laura Edoff (Black Cat Wife) is senior at Temple University, and is very excited to be a part of this incredible project! This is her second show performing with Brat Productions. Last November she was in Naked Cocktail as Bubbles the Turtle. Many thanks to Madi, Jess, Lindsay, and the rest of the very talented cast and crew!

    Dancer

    Melissa Forgione (The Dancer) earned her BFA from Philadelphia’s University of the Arts in 1998 & has been a part of the dance, theater & film community ever since.

  • Greg Giovanni
    Jester

    Greg Giovanni has been a director, playwright, performance artist, and actor in Philadelphia for over four lustra. Last year The Painted Bride Arts Center hosted a retrospective some of his major works. He as trained in the art of Noh for twelve years and is a founding member of Theatre Nohgaku, the international Noh company. In 2006 they produced Greg’s Noh play “Pine Barrens” featuring master musicians and actors from Japan. Greg is thrilled to be working on this project, as Romantic literature and Gothic theory are two of his many intellectual pursuits.

  • Black Cat Husband

    Bruce Graham (Black Cat Husband) returns to acting after a 25 year hiatus during which he wrote plays and movies. Past roles include Dudley in The Time of Your Life, Bottom in Midsummer, Lovborg in Hedda Gabler, Gilbert in Top of the World, Felix Ungar (twice) in The Odd Couple, Paul in Company and the title role in the BBC docudrama, Sheer Genius. Next up: Lenny in Any Given Monday at Act Two Playhouse.

  • Pallas Athena

    Adrienne Hertler (Pallas Athena) is 22 years old and a recent graduate of Temple University. She is so excited to be working on such a huge and exciting project and thankful to know everyone involved.

    Red Death

    Ben Holt (Red Death) has enjoyed many roles featuring his dark, tortured side. He was featured as “Sgt. Hightower” in last year’s “Terror Behind the Walls” production at the Eastern State Penitentiary. He has played “The Ghost” in Hamlet and “Death in Mort. He will be portrayed on screen as “Cernunos,” a giant Elk-God in the sweet-but-bloody fairytale “The Fay.” Ben is especially excited to play “The Red Death” because he loves sharing with others, even if it is a fatal disease.

  • Nathan Holt
    Edgar Allan Poe

    Nathan Holt (Edgar Allan Poe #2) is excited to be working with Brat again!! In 2007 he played the Fire Chief in Brat's acclaimed A 24-Hour The Bald Soprano. Other local credits involve work with Delaware Theatre Co, Act II Playhouse, The Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre, Flashpoint Theatre and Teatro Delle Due. Nathan loves doing comedy with the likes of Comedysportz and Bad Hair Sketch. He has produced two original plays for the Capital Fringe in DC and his powerpoint hip-hop duo is called Rowan & Hastings.

  • Justin Jain
    Puppeteer

    Justin Jain (Puppeteer) has appeared regionally at the Arden, Interact, People’s Light, The McCarter, Mum Puppettheatre, Theatre Horizon, Hotel Obligado, Shakespeare in Clark Park, PlayPenn and several others. Recent original work includes Philly Fringe hits The Jersey Devil, The Giant Squid and this summer's The Annihilation Point. Many thanks to Brat and to Poe for making this piece possible.

    Edgar Allan Poe

    Dave Johnson is so excited to be working with Brat on such an epic project. A graduate of The University of the Arts on 2003, he has been a Philadelphia based actor for the last six years. Dave is currently creating and preforming in the Fringe Festival’s The Annihilation Point, and was seen last season in Hamlet at The Lantern Theatre. Work with other local theatres includes Mum Puppettheatre, Enchantment Theatre Co., CCTC, Theatre Horizon and Theatre Exile. Next up: Lantern Theatre Co’s Scapin.

  • Emilie Krause
    Virginia Clemm

    Emilie (Virginia Clemm) is excited to be working with Brat Productions again after performing in their production of User 927 last summer. Emilie is currently a senior theater major at Temple University, and recently appeared in PlayPenn's new play festival at the Adrienne. She would like to issue a BIG thank you to Madi, Michael, and all of the wonderful people who are working on the project.

  • Matt Lorenz
    The Prince

    Matt Lorenz (The Prince) has worked in Philadelphia as an actor, designer and artistic collaborator over the past few years. He was last seen in Mauckingbird’s Never the Sinner. Other recent credits include: The Little Dog Laughed (Flashpoint), Hedda Gabler (Mauckingbird), The Mystery Plays (PTW), Pushkin at Boldino (Crescent Moon), Sweetie Pie (Azuka), A Brief History of Helen of Troy (Figure/Ground), Baby with the Bathwater (Allens Lane), and The Lucia Joyce Cabaret and Pay Up (Pig Iron).

  • JImmy Quartuccio
    William Wilson

    Jimmy Quartuccio (William Wilson) is a Junior Theatre Performance Major with a Dance Minor at Rowan University. Actively involved with Campus Players and the Lab Theatre, he recently became a member of Rowan's Dance Company "Dance Extensions." Most recently some of Jimmy's roles include Scar Tissue (Marisol) and Lane/Merriman (The Importance of Being Earnest) A heartfelt thanks to his family, friends, fellow cast members and the team at Brat for making this all possible.

  • Fortunato

    Gary Rantz (Fortunato) graduates in May with a BA in Theater Arts from Arcadia University, where his most notable role was Eddie/ Doc Scott in Rocky Horror last fall. Haunted Poe marks Gary's Philly debut and he would like to thank Brat Productions for the opportunity. Other thanks: to Alisa for her faith; Em and Meredith for building the colorful costume; and the cast for making this a truly haunting experience. Gary would also like to remind you to avoid going into strange wine cellars after dark…

    Annabel Lee

    Sarah Robinson (Annabel Lee) is excited to be working with Brat Productions on Haunted Poe! Most recently, she could be seen playing a broom in the Fringe production of Rails, and Dorothy in DuetPro's production of The Wizard of Oz.

  • Gwendolyn Rooker
    Puppeteer

    Gwendolyn Rooker is a dedicated member of Philadelphia’s prolific underground performance community. She has performed with Brat Productions, Hotel Obligado, Johnny Showcase and the Lefty Lucy Cabaret, Lee Etzold and My Kinda Pony, Ombelico Mask Ensemble, Shakespeare in Clark Park and Tribe of Fools. She also co-founded and conceived works for the puppet-centric, warehouse-space based Hangnail Productions. Gwendolyn volunteers for Clowns Without Borders, and has performed for vulnerable children in Egypt, Sudan and Louisiana.

    Black Cat Wife

    Sara Schmuckler (Black Cat Wife "B"/ Graveyard Swing) is thrilled to be making her debut with Brat in this haunted thriller. Sara is a proud alum of Headlong Performance Institute , original class of '08 and is expecting to graduate from Temple University this December with a B.A. in theater. Sara was last seen in the city performing with Temple Theater's Cabaret at the Prince Music Theater. She would like to thank Brat for including her in this massive undertaking that is Haunted Poe. Good Luck to everyone in cast and crew, the fun has just begun!!!!

  • Fred Siegel
    Magician

    Fred Siegel (Magician) has been a magician since his teen years. He appeared in various dinner theater productions in the 80’s, performed as an inside talker in Bradshaw’s Circus of World Curiosities at Coney Island (1989-90), earned a Ph.D. in Performance Studies (NYU 1993) and honed his improv skills as a Comedysportz Philly Act-lete (1995-2004). More recently, he has appeared in Karen Getz’s comic ballets Suburban Love Songs (which earned 3 Barrymore awards including Best Ensemble in 2008) and Disco Descending (2008).
